Muncie, IN—Mike Rhodes will play acoustic Christmas music on the piano at Vera Mae’s Bistro beginning at 5pm on Friday, December 23rd. Mike is the Publisher and Managing Editor of the Muncie Journal.
Kent Shuff and Steve Fennimore, owners at Vera Mae’s, have graciously allowed Mike to play holiday music on the piano inside the restaurant on the 23rd. Mike normally plays synthesizers, but also plays straight piano. Christmas music is very meaningful to Mike and he really enjoys playing Christmas music for others during this time of year. He recently performed his unique style of Christmas music at WLBC’s Ornament Smash at Cornerstone Center of the Arts.
In addition, after Mike finishes playing piano (about 6:30pm) local artist Tom Sullivan will perform. Tom is an enduring favorite performer at Vera Mae’s. Tom will also be playing Vera Mae’s on Wednesday evening, December 21st from 6:30pm to 9:30pm.
Tom will be playing his guitar and singing hits from the 40s, 50s,60s,& 70s. Tom promises to also throw in some Christmas music as well.
Some of the artists Tom covers includes music from the 40’s like Frank Sinatra and Tony Bennett.
From the 50’s, Tom covers Hank Williams Sr., Elvis, and Fats Domino.
From the 60’s, Tom covers The Beatles, The Doors, and The Rolling Stones.
From the 70’s, Tom covers James Taylor, Eric Clapton and Jimmy Buffet.
