Muncie, IN– The Indiana Summit for Economic Development is hosting a special event on June 7th at the Horizon Convention Center, in Muncie, in collaboration with Early Learning Coalitions.
According to the Indiana Early Learning Advisory Committee, by increasing access to high quality early childhood education, Indiana has the opportunity to ensure that children are ready to learn and succeed in school, compete in the global economy, and contribute to thriving communities.
John Pepper, former CEO of Proctor & Gamble said, “The success of our country absolutely depends on our future generation becoming productive adults.” Pepper, currently the ReadyNation Co-Chair of the CEO Task Force for Early Childhood, will be the keynote speaker for the summit.
In collaboration with Early Learning Coalitions, Pepper will be joined by featured speaker, Dr. Judy Cameron PH.D, Professor of Psychiatry, Neuroscience, Obstetrics-Gynecology Reproductive Sciences, and Clinical and Translational Science, University of Pittsburgh. This event is open to Business leaders; Chamber members, Economic & Community Development professionals; Early Childhood leaders; Community leadership; Healthcare leaders; Education professionals in K-12, and higher education; Faith based leaders; Civic leaders; Funders, and other interested individuals passionate about the future of their community.
Reservations are required, and registration begins at 8 a.m. There is no fee to register, and lunch is included. There will be breakout sessions, as well as a featured focus on Understanding the Indiana Landscape for Economic Development and Early Learning.
