The services of the East Central Indiana Small Business Development Center (ISBDC) are now available in downtown Muncie. The Downtown Business Connector (DBC) is partnering with the East Central ISBDC to offer no-cost, confidential business consulting services to area small businesses.
Starting September 15, the East Central ISBDC will have a business advisor at the Downtown Business Connector from 12 p.m. to 4 p.m. every Tuesday. The advisors will be able to meet informally and also by appointment. For situations requiring a level of confidentiality, clients should make an appointment to ensure a private meeting space.

From 12 p.m. to 2 p.m. on September 15, the DBC and East Central ISBDC will host a meet and greet event at the DBC, 420 South High Street in Muncie. Stop in for pizza, a contest, and networking opportunities. Learn about services available through the East Central ISBDC and DBC.
Those interested in starting a business are encouraged to attend the “Launch Your Own Business” workshop scheduled from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. on Tuesday, September 22, at the DBC. There is a $25 fee for this workshop, which covers the cost of a workbook to help potential business owners plan for success.
In October, the East Central ISBDC will present a “Small Business Fix-It” session for existing small business owners. There is no cost to attend this informal roundtable discussion, but participants should submit questions in advance to email: tsteiner@isbdc.org. This session runs from 12 to 1 p.m. on October 20 at the DBC, and participants are encouraged to bring their own lunch.
