The Muncie Journal launched on July 1, 2015.
Good news is all around us if we look for it. Great things are happening in Muncie, Delaware County and East Central Indiana every day. And we aim to bring those stories to you. At no charge.
This website’s content will include curated, positive news stories and business information. The stories that may get missed. The stories that bring pride to this community. The stories that assist the economic development efforts of Delaware County, IN.
The site is managed and administrated daily by its Editor-in-Chief, Mike Rhodes, a Ball State University graduate with a Bachelor’s degree in Journalism. Mike acts as the editor for all submissions. He decides what runs, when something runs, and edits the writing of others with an emphasis on using correct AP style. Mike also generates his own stories, and acts as the publication’s photojournalist, videographer, and drone pilot. And if needed, he will create and record music compositions to use as background music for video.
The Muncie Journal will strive to include the good things that are happening with businesses and non-profits within Delaware County. We will focus on three areas: (1) Education (2) Economic Development (3) Quality of Life.
You’ll hear about this project on the radio. On four of the radio stations that make up the Woof Boom Radio Group. We hope you’ll visit, read and watch this site every day. On your desktop, your smartphone or your tablet.
