MUNCIE, IN—The Bargain Box is a thrift shop in The Historic Kimbrough District of Muncie, located at 607 E. Charles Street.

Psi Iota Xi, is a 125-year-old philanthropic sorority.  The Bargain Box was purchased by Psi Iota Xi, and was previously the home of Adam Wolfe, grandfather of Elizabeth Ball.

The sorority donates 100 % of the income from its sales (all are donated items)  to support local charities, and to make endowment grants/scholarships, particularly in the areas of art, literature, speech and hearing, and music.

Historically, the Bargain Box operating season has followed the school year calendar, opening when the schools start and closing in May for the summer.

This year the hours will be:

Thursday   10 am to 2 pm

Friday        10 am to 2 pm

Saturday    10 am to noon

Psi Iota Xi is dedicated to Muncie philanthropic endeavors, whose first (Alpha) chapter was started in Muncie and now has chapters all over Indiana, and in 4 other midwestern states.
