Muncie, IN—PrimeTrust Federal Credit Union invites Delaware County residents to attend the ninth annual Soup Crawl to be held in downtown on Thursday, October 3rd from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. Tickets are available at all three Muncie-area PrimeTrust Federal Credit Union locations, and – if they last – from the Second Harvest Food Bank tent at Soup Crawl during the day of the event.
The Ninth Annual Soup Crawl is a fun and festive local culinary celebration that benefits Second Harvest Food Bank’s Big Idea program. For just $20, Soup Crawl attendees can stroll the streets of historic downtown Muncie, enjoy local arts and live music, and sample 30 delicious soups from downtown and area restaurants, caterers, and organizations.
“This is our ninth year hosting Soup Crawl and each year we’ve been able to raise more money to benefit Second Harvest Food Bank,” Said Vickie Copley, a PrimeTrust employee and organizer or the event. “With the help of Muncie residents and local businesses, we anticipate generating more funding with this year’s even to benefit families who need help getting food in our community.”
The money raised during Soup Crawl is used to support Second Harvest’s Big Idea, previously branded as the School Pantry Program. The Big Idea initiative invites families to come to their child(ren)’s school once a month to engage with their teachers and staff while they receive food and information/services from other essential community resources.
Free parking during the event is available for Soup Crawl attendees at the Muncie Fieldhouse. The MITS Trolley will be available during the Soup Crawl to transport event-goers from the parking area at the Muncie Fieldhouse to downtown and to various stops along the route.
Soup Crawl 2019 is presented by PrimeTrust Federal Credit Union on behalf of Second Harvest Food Bank. Major supporting sponsors include WLBC, Accutech, eKeeper Systems, Praxis Consulting, Sidney Electric, and Stoops Automotive Group.
