The partnership will allow several volleyball, soccer and field hockey contests to be aired live on Muncie’s Sports Station

Muncie, IN – Ball State University and its athletics multimedia rights holder, Learfield IMG College, are excited to announce a new partnership between Woof Boom Radio and Ball State Sports Link which will provide local radio coverage for several women’s volleyball, soccer and field hockey contests this fall.

A total of 12 events between the three sports will be carried live on Muncie’s Sports Station (102.9 FM and 1340 AM) and WXFN.com. Sports Link, Ball State’s immersive learning program which has emerged as a national leader in sports media and production, will provide the talent for each broadcast.

“This is a fantastic initiative for so many reasons,” Ball State Director of Athletics Beth Goetz said. “Working together with Woof Boom Radio allows us to promote more of our sports and share our student-athlete stories to Muncie and surrounding communities. This also gives our loyal supporters of these sports another way to follow all of the action if they can’t make the game. Finally, it gives our talented students in the Sports Link program more chances to hone their skills. This partnership is a win for everyone.”

“Great content makes compelling radio,” Woof Boom Radio President, J Chapman said. “BSU Sports Link develops outstanding sports broadcasters. These broadcasts will showcase exciting Ball State sports by our future industry leaders. We are excited to bring additional BSU programming to our communities.”

All Ball State football, men’s basketball and women’s basketball games can also be heard on a Woof Boom Radio station. Select baseball games were carried by Muncie’s Sports Station last spring as well. Additional winter and spring sports broadcasts may be added to the calendar in the future.
