Ball State’s Entrepreneurship Program Ranks In Nation’s Top 20

Muncie, IN—Ball State University offers one of the best undergraduate entrepreneurship programs for students aspiring to launch their own businesses, according to an analysis by The Princeton Review.

The education services company ranks Ball State at No. 20 on its list of “Top 25 Schools for Entrepreneurship of 2018,” which is posted at The ranking will be featured in the December issue of “Entrepreneur” magazine.

“This national ranking as a top 20 program is outstanding recognition for our entrepreneurship program, the Miller College of Business and Ball State University,” said Matt Marvel, The George A. Ball Distinguished Professor of Entrepreneurship and director of the Entrepreneurship Center. “Our students and alumni are part of an exclusive, high-impact community that few other programs can offer. Today with almost 35 years of tradition, we have an exceptional pool of alumni entrepreneurs who are active mentors that provide expert advice to our students.

“We were an early pioneer in entrepreneurship education, and continue to be one of the most rigorous programs in the nation with the capstone class, where students defend a comprehensive business plan before a panel of executives and alumni entrepreneurs.”

The Princeton Review compiled its lists of top 25 undergraduate and top 25 graduate schools based on a survey it conducted from June through August 2017.

Out of more than 300 schools offering entrepreneurshipstudies that the Princeton Review surveyed, 38 institutions’ undergraduate and/or graduate programs made the roster of top schools for 2018. The 60-question survey asked schools to report on levels of their commitment toentrepreneurship studies inside and outside the classroom.

The Princeton Review has reported its lists of top schools for entrepreneurship programs annually since 2006 in partnership with Entrepreneur Media Inc., publisher of “Entrepreneur” magazine.
