Two Meridian Health Services Programs Win National Awards

Muncie, INMeridian Health Services is proud to announce that two of its programs were named winners of Decision Health’s nationally recognized Platinum Awards.

MeridianMD, Meridian’s primary medical care division, won the “Outstanding Performance in Community Care Setting – Integrated Care Networks” category, while Meridian’s School programs also was awarded first in the “Outstanding Achievement in Care Coordination Specialty Programs – Behavioral Health” category.

“We are very proud that these two Meridian programs are earning national attention,” Meridian President and CEO Hank Milius said.  “We accept these awards with gratitude and honor knowing the impact these programs are making on our community.”

Decision Health is a news, financial and educational source for the national health care industry that reaches more than 100,000 health care professionals and specialty physician practices.  The Decision Health awards recognize organizations that improve health care and positively impact the lives of those they serve.  Finalists are based upon their innovations, leadership, and initiative of finding new and better ways to bring quality health care to their patients and populations.   Decision Health’s “best of the best” are selected as finalists and one individual winner of each category is awarded the national winner of the 2017 Platinum Awards.

Meridian was nominated among other national and statewide health care organizations including Centene, Aetna, Kindred Healthcare, Amerigroup, Anthem and IU Health.
