Muncie, IN—During these times of such high heat indexes, starting today (7/22) and lasting till Sunday (7/24), Mayor Tyler along with other organizations are opening up cooling centers throughout the city. City Hall’s first floor will be open along with all seven of Muncie’s fire stations to assist with citizens who may become overheated.
A citizen can come into any of these stations and cool off. If they are still feeling overheated after a time, they can be evaluated by EMS and be transported to a more long term cooling center.
