Muncie Community Schools, in partnership with Ball State University, will offer an English class for parents of students whose first language is not English (English as a Second Language, EL). The class will be led by two Ball State instructors of English as a Second Language, and will be held on Tuesdays from 6:00 to 8:00 pm, beginning January 12 – March 15, 2016 in the Mitchell Elementary library. In place of child care Ball State students will provide English rich activities for children of the adult learners.

This class is designed as an opportunity to increase English language skills, as an orientation to the Muncie Community Schools system, and a way for parents to meet and support each other and discuss cultural issues.

If you are interested in registration information please call Mrs. Rebecca Thompson at 765-747-5345 or rthompson@muncie.k12.in.us.
