MUNCIE, IN—The Soup Kitchen of Muncie needs the public’s help to Stuff-A-Bus with non-perishable food on Sept. 17 to help feed those in need this fall.

The Stuff-A-Bus event runs from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. at Pay Less Super Market, 715 S. Tillotson Ave., Muncie. The food will be distributed to the Soup Kitchen of Muncie, Southside Middle School Panther Pantry, and the Ball State Cardinal Kitchen pantry.

Each of these organizations helps different segments of our community by providing food and other supplies to those in need of assistance, according to Soup Kitchen of Muncie Executive Director Loretta Parsons.

“Over 17% of Delaware County residents face food insecurity every day,” Parsons said. “September is Hunger Action Month and you can make a difference.”

In addition to food items, the event coordinators will also be accepting gift cards.

If you can’t make it in person you can also donate online at soupkitchenofmuncie.org.

Muncie Community Schools is providing the bus. The other sponsors are: R & R Engineering Co.; City of Muncie; Northwest Towing and Recovery; All American Chevrolet Cadillac; Farmhouse Creative; Tony & Carmen Costello; and Pay Less Super Market.
