Muncie, IN—The Boys & Girls Clubs of Muncie is honored to have received a grant from the Ball Brothers Foundation totaling $300,000 over two years. This grant will help offset operating costs and allow the Clubs to pursue two goals set for the next two years: continue to provide great out of school time programs through ourYouth Development Professionals and strategically place the Clubs in a position of growth.

The grant will be used to equip staff with tools, resources, and professional development training needed to foster skill building. The Clubs will also build staff capacity to better engage our youth and promote education, character-building, and healthy lifestyles.

“The Boys & Girls Clubs of Muncie has had a positive impact on the lives of the youth of Delaware County since 1933,” said Jud Fisher, President & Chief Executive Officer of the Ball Brothers Foundation. “After school and summer programming has ensured that our community’s youth have a safe, fun, and positive environment to be a part of, even throughout the pandemic. Ball Brothers Foundation continues to support the tremendous efforts of the Boys & Girls Clubs of Muncie with a multi-year grant to help with general operations and maintenance needs over the next couple of years. The importance of supporting the Boys & Girls Clubs of Muncie can not be understated as our community rebuilds from the pandemic and looks to a brighter future.”

Boys & Girls Clubs of Muncie continues to adapt as the community moves through the pandemic. Thanks to this grant and others, the Clubs will continue to offer virtual learning space in the 2021-22 school year, as well as the abundance of after school programming run every year, for only $15 per year.
