Muncie, IN—The Oliver W. Storer Scholarship Committee made up of the Delaware County public high school principals has announced, through its Secretary, Mark A. Ervin, the granting of 9 scholarships to Delaware County high school seniors.

The scholarships are granted annually to the limit of income available from the Storer Scholarship Foundation, which was created by the Muncie banker who died in 1953.

The Committee is instructed to choose graduates it considers have shown evidence of “scholastic ability, industry, integrity, courage and ideals as to give greatest promise of being enabled by a continuing education to become leading citizens of our community, state and nation.”

The award covers tuition at the college of the student’s choice, not to exceed $6,200 per year for new recipients, and full-time attendance at an accredited college is required.
