Muncie, IN—The Boys & Girls Clubs of Muncie is pleased to announce it has received a $10,000 grant from the Shafer Foundation. The funds will help support current and future youth programming.

The Boys & Girls Clubs of Muncie offers a variety of classes to its members. Since August, Club Kids have been offered programs ranging from dance to robotics to karate. These programs are in addition to the standard Indiana Kids program that emphasizes academic excellence.

This award will propel the initiatives that CEO Jason Newman has set for his team. “All of our children deserve the highest quality programming possible. The support from the Shafer Foundation will impact each one of our members by helping us provide small group academic support, with the highest quality of dedicated, trained, and caring staff members.”

The Hamer D. and Phyllis C. Shafer Foundation awards grants to Delaware County organizations that demonstrate Community collaboration and have positive outcome with programs that improve community conditions.
