Join America’s Hometown Band at the Flags of Honor Closing Ceremony

Muncie, IN—On Monday, Sept. 11, the closing ceremony for the week-long Flags of Honor event in Muncie takes place at Minnetrista Center, 1200 W. Minnetrista Blvd. at 6 pm. This Patriot’s Day gathering is sponsored by the Exchange Club of Muncie, and the program of remembrance and appreciation for America’s emergency responders and military personnel is accompanied by musicians of America’s Hometown Band. The ceremony is free and open to the public. For information on sponsoring a flag to represent and honor the service of someone important to you, visit the Flags of Honor attendants on-site at Minnetrista Sept. 4—11.

This Band is Your Band. The non-profit America’s Hometown Band is Muncie’s municipal band, which is sponsored in part by the City of Muncie, Mayor Dennis Tyler, and by the generosity of donors large and small – including the patrons and musicians of the band, Ball State University, Emens Auditorium, Muncie Star Press, Muncie Music Center, Muncie Power Products, Old National Bank, the Hamer D & Phyllis C Foundation, and the George and Francis Ball Foundation. Individual donations always welcome any time. Acting Music Director is Will Frazier, assisted by Charles Routh, Roger McConnell, and Phil Cooley.
