MUNCIE, IN – Marcy Minton has been named the President of The Community Foundation of Muncie and Delaware County, effective August 8, 2022. Minton succeeds Kelly K. Shrock, who announced her resignation earlier this year and will end her more than decade-long service on August 5.

Minton originally joined the staff of The Community Foundation in 2014 as Community Engagement Director. She transitioned to Senior Program Officer in 2016 and has served in that role since.

“I have been privileged to work for the Foundation for the last eight years and partner with amazing people working together to improve the quality of life for our residents,” said Marcy Minton, newly-appointed President of The Community Foundation. “As our current leader departs, I seek to continue the excellent leadership the community has come to know from the Foundation. I am honored to be selected as the next president and serve in my own small slice of the forever that is The Community Foundation.”

Minton is a fourth-generation Munsonion and sixth-generation Hoosier. She has served local organizations for the last sixteen years. Minton earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Business, Computer Information Systems from Indiana University and holds Masters degrees in Adult and Community Education and Executive Development for Public Service from Ball State University. She resides in Cowan with her husband, Jason, and their son and daughter.

“The Community Foundation executive search committee was honored to be able to consider candidates from a highly-qualified pool of applicants nationally,” said Trent Dowling, chair of the Foundation’s nine-member board of directors. “Marcy stood out as the right choice for this role because of her vision for The Community Foundation, passion for Muncie and Delaware County, and experience within the community foundation world. We anticipate a seamless transition because of her knowledge of the community, the Foundation, and the philanthropic landscape.”

Minton and Shrock will work together through August 5 to aid in the transition. In her first 90 days, Minton will focus on moving the operations to the Foundation’s newly acquired building and connecting with the community.
