MUNCIE, Ind.— This summer at Minnetrista is set to be an exciting one. The Museum & Gardens has announced the opening of two new exhibits on Saturday, May 28.

Shape ‘Scape—Design. Build. Play.

Become architects and bring your designs to life! Shape ‘Scape encourages teamwork, imagination, and play, enforcing the idea of our impact on the built world around us. Visitors will become architects with the opportunity to create the Minnetrista of the future! This highly interactive exhibit allows “design teams” to follow their ideas from beginning to end, designing and reimagining a Minnetrista for the next generation. Featuring the Imagination Playground, innovate through creative play and shape your own world!

This exhibit is a Minnetrista original designed, curated, and built by their Experience Design team. This one-of-a-kind exhibit is the perfect place to design, build, and play this summer!

TreeHouses—Look Who’s Living in the Trees!

Hang out in the trees in this hands-on exhibit. Step foot into an indoor treehouse, experiment with the technology that builds treehouses, and conduct forest research high in the treetops. TreeHouses offers creative ways to explore the important roles that trees play in providing homes for all sorts of wild things (including people!). This popular exhibit engages forest explorers of all ages in the ecology of sustainable harvesting and indoor nature exploration.

TreeHouses was produced by the Environmental Exhibit Collaborative with major support from Jane’s Trust. Additional support provided by the Institute for Museum and Library Services.

Both exhibits open on Saturday, May 28, and run through September 11 at Minnetrista.
