MUNCIE, Ind.Cornerstone Center for the Arts, 520 E. Main St., will host a celebration of the end of fall classes with a Fall Festival, Friday, Nov. 19 from 5-8 p.m. with tours and demonstrations. Performances beginning at 7 p.m. The celebration is FREE and open to the public. Everyone is welcome.

Student art will be exhibited, and there will be artwork for sale to benefit Cornerstone.

“The Fall Festival is a chance for our students to showcase what they have learned over the last semester, and to gain experience in publicly sharing their art in a professional setting,” according to Cornerstone Director of Education Claire Aldenhuysen. “This is an important part of developing a personal identity as an artist in any and every creative discipline.”

From 5-7 pm, visitors will have the opportunity to join in free belly dance, Bollywood, ballet, and yoga mini-lessons, as well as take home their own tiny acrylic paintings in a workshop led by 2021 Mayor’s Arts Awards nominee and Cornerstone teaching artist, Leon Crosby.

Mark your calendars: Upcoming dates for classes are the beginning of the Spring Semester Jan. 31, the Summer Semester May 23 and Summer Camps June 13-17 and July 11-15. This year’s summer camp themes will be Around the World in 80 days and Myths, Monsters & Fantasy.
