Muncie, IN—The Boys & Girls Clubs of Muncie would like to thank the many people that made the 3rdAnnual Just Desserts a huge success. This year’s event received 35 dessert donations from amazing local bakers and were auctioned off for more than $25,000. The money raised from this event will go directly toward providing quality programs for the local Clubs.

The 3rdAnnual Just Desserts took place on Wednesday, September 26 in front of the beautiful Catalyst sculpture on Minnetrista’s campus.  Over 175 community members gathered to support the mission of the Boys & Girls Clubs of Muncie which is to act as a catalyst for Muncie area youth and to help them reach their full potential as productive, responsible, and caring citizens. Each Club kid is able to join all five local Clubs for only $15 per year. It costs approximately $4,000 per year per child for the Clubs to operate. The difference is made up with fundraisers and community support such as this event.

This year’s speaker was local multi-million dollar business owner, Heidi Hale from Heidi J Hale Designs + Detail. Hale has been recognized by the City of Muncie for her citizenship and dedication to our community. She supports many organizations in the Muncie area, and the Boys & Girls Clubs of Muncie are grateful and honored to receive support from such a great community partner. “It was an honor to be chosen. I will always be a fan of [the] Boys & Girls Clubs [of Muncie], their staff and our future leaders,” says Hale.

An event of this caliber depends upon many supporters. The Boys & Girls Clubs of Muncie would like to extend a big thanks to our Presenting Sponsor, Old National Bank whose support goes beyond this event. Old National has committed time and resources for many of our events including the upcoming 100 Men Who Cook on November 3 at the Horizon Convention Center. We would also like to thank our Silver Sponsor, Kramer Real Estate Team, who is a proud supporter of the clubs. Thank you Jill Haron from American Mortgage, Foister’s Flowers & Gift, Nash FM, Woof Boom Radio, Farmhouse Creative, Heidi J Hale Designs + Detail, Minnetrista, and our table sponsors for all of your support. This event would not be possible without the donations from our local chefs.

If you were unable to attend this year’s Just Desserts it is not too late to support the Clubs’ efforts in providing a place in our community to guide today’s youth into adults in our community. Tickets are still available for 100 Men Who Cook and can be purchased by visiting Muncie.100menwhocook.com
