Muncie, IN—At noon on Sunday, January 22nd, 5 lucky local non-profits had brand spanking new websites to call their own.
On Saturday, the second Website Thru the Nite project kicked off at the Innovation Connector. Teams of volunteer web developers and designers were matched with 5 separate non-profit organizations to create 5 separate—fully designed and operational websites.
The catch? They had to create the websites in 24 hours.
Not weeks. Hours.
The initiative was the idea of eKeeper Systems, an IT consulting firm providing comprehensive technology services to companies throughout Central Indiana.
Ideal candidates included non-profits who serve residents in Delaware County, and either have no web presence at all, or an outdated website requiring an upgrade. Candidate organizations submitted applications for consideration. 5 organizations were selected: Big Time Barbell, Daleville Community Library, Hearts & Hands United, Delaware County Senior Center and the Martin Luther King Dream Team.
Development Teams consisted of the following individuals:
Aaron Khoury, Joshephine Davis, Laura Lauer, Marcus Berry, Lauren Donahue, Kasia Majkowski, Lena Tompkins, Oana Nae, Austin Kellner, and Zoey Spengler.
