Muncie Civic Theatre proudly presents Into the Woods, the second performance in the Main Stage theatre season. Audiences are invited to see this stunning production currently running  through November 1st.

Bringing together characters from the Grimm Brothers’ fairytale stories, Into the Woods is an all-around entertaining look at the familiar “happily-ever-after” and what really happens beyond the fairytale ending. As the baker and his wife wish for a child to call their own, other characters in the kingdom, like Cinderella, Jack and the Beanstalk, and the Witch find themselves wanting more out of life. These wishes lead the characters on a powerful journey into the woods where they find out what happens after dreams come true.

Winning Best Score and Best Book for 1987 Tony Awards, this incredible musical is a must-see this Autumn season!

Into the Woods is written by James Lapine and features music and lyrics by the award-winning Stephen Sondheim. This musical is directed by Muncie Civic Theatre’s new Artistic Director, Paul Tavianini, and stars Kris Eckman as the Baker, Hannah Braun as the Baker’s Wife, Amanda Hummer as the Witch, Beth Turcotte as Jack’s Mother, and Kelley Johnson as Little Red Riding Hood. Into the Woods is the second show in the 2015-2016 Main Stage Series.

This production was made possible in part Welch, Gregg, & Company, Wilhoite Family Dental, Heidi J Hale Jewelry, and WLBC.
